We filed our taxes on Friday. Our return isn’t going to be as much as we were hoping for – so, while our goals are still right on track, I won’t be able to buy the new camera and lens I was hoping to get. Such is life. Hard to complain when a) we’re actually getting a return, from both Fed and State; and b) our needs are being very well met; and c) even with the need to buy a new roof we’re still going to pay off as much debt as we’d planned by the end of the year.

Yeah, the room with which I have to complain is nil.

I’m going to save you guys a picture of this. Suffice it to say, my mini-pin has been following Amanda’s pit bull around the back yard for the last fifteen minutes, with his nose practically buried in her nether-regions. Which he can barely reach. Have you ever seen a dog stand on his tippy-toes?

Stupid dog.

Last night Robert and Joy came over to hang out. We watched “The Vampire’s Assistant” (ih) and “Law Abiding Citizen” (decent), and ordered in Chinese food. A good time was had by all.

Proof that those darned cats can get along JUST FINE if they really want to:

I gave them both a bath on Saturday, which I believe caused them to commiserate as comrades who have suffered the same indignities and lived to tell about it. I fail to have any sympathy, having suffered a soaking at their paws (and it’s a darned good thing they’re declawed). Plus they’re now soft and fluffy and smell like Pantene. Gotta be miles better than a hours-long tongue application. They should be thanking me.

Cheeto, doin’ his thang:

That’s all I’ve got for today. Happy Monday!

Um…NO I’ve never seen a dog stand on his tippy toes and I still haven’t because you’d rather take pictures of those darn cats! 😉

Aaaannnddd I’d given both, Harley (who was mostly fine) and Gabby (who yowled and hissed like the world was ending), baths in the past and they both have their claws. It wasn’t fun and if I hadn’t HAD to do it for medical reasons, I wouldn’t have.

Your furbabies are adorable! 🙂 Judging by these pics alone, I would say the one in front is the evil one who gets into a ton of trouble, and the one in back is the calm lap cat with moments of orneriness? I give my cat a bath pretty frequently. I trim his claws first, though! He’s used to it, and doesn’t even protest anymore. However, I get the silent treatment, and the “talk to the butt” pose for hours afterwards! 😀
