Well, day one back to work went down without too much of a fight. Albeit, it was much easier than it could have been, working from home as I was. Within ten minutes of logging in this morning I was struck anew at the sheer amount of TEDIUM my job involves. I have added tracking late orders and adding new parts to our inventory database among my Top Five Most Hated Tasks.
Number one will ALWAYS be dealing with Accounts Payable. No matter what other tasks may come across my desk, they will never attain the coveted Number One Most Hated spot. For ever and ever, amen.
As the renewed season of television programming approaches (Death to Reruns!), I find I am faced with a dilemma. Some mid-season timeslot shifts have resulted in a pile-up of programs airing at the same time on different stations. My DVR will only record two shows at a time, and if you’re watching television at the time that you’re recording two shows you HAVE TO watch one of the shows being recorded (which is dumb – why would I record what I’m watching?). I could record two shows on the living room television and watch a third show in the bedroom, but that involves too much coordination and will surely annoy Calvin (and we DON’T WANT THAT).
Giving up any of my shows is out of the question. Of course. AND I’m adding new ones, because apparently I’m a slave to the boob tube. Look at this lineup, will you???
Sunday – Merlin (new show! no conflict here, since True Blood and Californication are off-season right now)
Monday – Big Bang Theory
Monday – Two and a Half Men
Monday – How I Met Your Mother
Monday – House
Monday – The Last Templar (a miniseries, I think)
Monday – Trust Me (new show! might not make the cut, and i might love it. you never know.)
Monday – Medium
Tuesday – Leverage
Tuesday – Fringe
Tuesday – Reaper
Wednesday – Criminal Minds
Wednesday – Lie to Me (new show! may or may not make the cut.)
Wednesday – Life
Thursday – Private Practice
Thursday – Grey’s Anatomy
Thursday – Bones
Thursday – CSI
Friday – Battlestar Galactica
Friday – Dollhouse (new show! It’s one of Joss’ shows, so it will almost definitely make the cut.)
Obviously Mondays and Thursdays are going to be problematic. PLUS Jen got me hooked on Supernatural, so some day I’m going to be caught up on the back seasons and will want to watch the current shows. Oh, what a dilemma! What to do, what to do?
For those of you who requested it, the recipe for buffalo chicken dip has been posted over at WFN. Enjoy!
