Writing tools

Here’s a couple of interesting writing tools that I, literally, stumbled upon while playing around with Stumbleupon.

One Word. Click on “go”. A word, a timer, and a text box appear. Free write for sixty seconds about the suggested word, and when the time is up you can discard or e-mail the text to yourself.

Dark Copy. It’s surprising how distracting the typical laptop or computer screen really is when writing. Dark Copy provides a big, dark, blank screen on which to write, and the ability to save the text as a file. I recommend the full screen mode.
