  1. Heather says:

Flea ALMOST used up one of her Drag-Feather-To-Event-Because-She-Loves-Me points to see Barry Manilow. She thought better of it at the last second though. I would have gone and we would have had a good time…that’s why she loves me.

The running joke when I pick up cd’s at a store (which is RARE) is the young cashier probably thinks “Aww, old people are so cute.”

  2. Taoist Biker says:

Happens to me all the time, but it’s when I’m buying for myself and Dys.

    Fluffy Pink Girlie Dance-Pop – $7.99
I Wear Spiked Leather and Eat Puppies – $9.99

  3. Heather says:

Did you go pick up your six priceless cd’s (with a touching and personal handwritten commentary) at the post office yet? 🙂

  4. Laura says:

Heather – You know, we watched a Manilow special on TV recently and was DAMNED impressed at how strong he’s still going, even at his age. You’d probably have enjoyed going to his concert!!

TB – Thing is, Calvin and I both tend to vary between pop and puppy-eating (heh) music. So we’re both to blame.

  5. Heather says:

Ah Laura, you don’t have to tell me. If this is any testament to the allure of Barry Manilow, I remember watching one of his specials on ABC in the living room of my house in Hammond, IN. My Mom was talking to my uncle on the phone during the special and I kept shooshing her because I couldn’t hear the tv. I was singing along with every song so she couldn’t hear the phone. We moved out of that house when I was 9. So, that means I was 9 or younger and I still remember the special and I also remember that he was wearing a shiny blue football jersey with very tight shiny white pants. (Amy has actually been to see him and said he was engaging and sweet and that she had so much fun.)
