Lyrically yours

Should I fall out of love my fire in the night,
To chase a feather in the wind.
Within the glow that weaves a cloak of delight,
There moves a thread that has no end.

For many hours and days that pass ever soon,
The tides have caused the flame to dim.
At last the arm is straight the hand to the loom,
Is this to end or just begin?

All of my love,
All of my love,
All of my love,
To you now.
All of my love,
All of my love,
All of my love,
To you now.

The cup is raised the toast is made yet again.
One voice is clear above the din.
Proud Aryan one word my will to sustain,
For me the cloth once more to spin.

All of my love,
All of my love,
All of my love,
To you now.
All of my love,
All of my love,
All of my love,
To you now.

Yours is the cloth mine is the hand that sews time.
His is the force that lies within.
Ours is the fire, all the warmth we can find,
He is a feather in the wind.

All of my love,
All of my love,
All of my love,
To you now.
All of my love,
Oh, yes.
All of my love,
To you now.

(Something I didn’t know, this song is about Robert Plant’s son Karac who died in 1977.)

  1. Calvin says:

Are you sure they wrote it?
Zepplin was a buch of song stealing hacks, and if they came on scene today would never make it.
Please check the history on Zepplin before you come down on me for this.

  2. Heather says:

Please tell Calvin to check his spelling of Zeppelin before he posts. čśë

  3. Laura says:

Whether Led Zep stole (or neglected to credit) any of their work or not, this particular song specifically is a Robert Plant original. Darling.

  4. Calvin says:

That sucks not once but twice! Well wrong on spelling right on facts plus I think my spelling looks better.
And this started a big net search on a bunch of other bands that are as bad or worse than them.

looks like “calvin” aint a true music lover; the modern world is full of cover versions of songs that have been rehased, bashed, rapped and so on in LED ZEPPlIN case “borrowed”sure alot of songs were old blue’s songs or folk songs but now with the days of the internet etc,we can understand who the origanal artists were and listen to orignal versions and thank groups like led zep for bringing (there versions)into the listening public domain,If you get a chance listen to robert plant VH1 and as he introduces the songs he sings he gives full credit to the blues singers/writers, and a bit of background to the song etc.So “calvin”think before you post comments and thank the legends like led zep for bringing good songs out to music loving people like us.cheers

This is a debate better sparked over drinks, however to say that Zeppelin wouldn’t make it today is ridiculous. Think about that statement in the day where people like Britney Spears and any number of “boy bands” who don’t write their own material continue to be successful. Appalling? Yes. True? Of course. The music industry is not about being original and hasn’t been since long before Elvis was singing old blues tunes and critics started calling them rock n’ roll. Just sayin’…
