Thanks.

Thanks for giving Calvin the skill and presence of mind to keep us safe last night.

Thanks for his ability to know what to do in a bad situation.  For his instincts and immediate reactions.  When the truck turned in front of us and Calvin locked up the brakes on the motorcycle, thanks for making the driver of the truck SEE US finally and come to an abrupt stop with his own squeal of tires.  Just a foot or two away from our left legs.

Thanks for making me feel so safe with Calvin that my pulse didn’t even jump.  I just knew we’d be okay.  Because of You.

Please forgive Calvin for calling the driver of the truck a dickface.  Even though I’m sure You don’t blame him.  I don’t, either.

Thank you, Lord, for giving us more time to be together and enjoy our lives, our friends, our family, and each other.
